Whirlwind weekend!

Labor Day weekend proved to be one whirlwhind of a weekend around here! Saturday was my niece Carmen's 5th birthday party. It was a tea party. The whole theme was really cute. The kids sat at their own kid-sized tables, completely set with fancy tablecloths, centerpieces and flower print tableware. The girls received boas, costume jewelry and tiaras while the boys wore black top hats. It was really cute watching Judah partake of the festivities. He sat at the table like a big boy and ate better than any kid there! He even proceeded to help others finish off the tea party sized sandwhiches, chips, carrots and capri suns off of their plates. Oops!

PiƱata time!

Saturday night we had our monthly poker night at a friend's house in Frisco. Judah spent the night with his Tita and cousins and we took Levi along for the ride. He proved to be a good luck charm for whoever was holding him at the time-they usually won their hand that round! He did really well-he just insisted on being up most of the time to see what the party was all about! That probably explains why he slept almost the entire day on Sunday! Sunday we went to church like always and then right after mass, Levi and his cousin Victor were baptized. Levi slept through the whole baptism! Then we all went back to Monica and Kathy's house to celebrate.

Our family before Levi's baptism...hard to get a picture of everyone smiling at the same time!

Although it was very busy, it was a wonderful weekend full of family, faith and friends. It was a true reminder of all of the beautiful things in life!
